Last night’s Benny Awards Celebration was extra special on many levels. First of all, it felt so refreshing for everyone — our agency family and the greater Philly direct marketing community — to be together in person. That honestly would have been enough for an amazing night out. To our good fortune, the night became progressively better as we were awarded for our work across three marketing categories:
Interactive – Social Media Winner: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina “What Matters”. As part of a multi-channel campaign for individual health insurance, our social media campaign leveraged the star of our TV spot to garner attention. Each ad promoted affordable plans that can “check all the boxes that matter to you” for as little as $0 a month.
Outdoor Campaign – Other Media Category (Outdoor, Transit, Posters, Point of Purchase): Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina “Healthy Blue + Medicare” Outdoor Campaign. This campaign included bus wraps, transits posters, and billboards to build awareness and generate leads in synch with other media targeting NC residents eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid. Using a simple, visually driven creative approach, we boosted awareness where our audience lives, walks, commutes, and shops on a daily basis.
Direct Mail B-to-C Integrated Media (Lead Generation or Retention) Winner: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont “A Vermonter’s Path”. Our 4-part direct mail campaign stood out among robust competition to capture the attention of Vermont residents aging into Medicare. The creative incorporated an authentic local vibe with images, copy, and graphics that matched the independent spirit for which Vermonters are famous.
A Vermonter’s Path also brought us a “Best of Show” Award! This was the cherry on top of a stellar evening. We’d like to thank our clients for believing in these winning creative approaches and the Philly DMA for creating and organizing this long-standing direct marketing awards event.
